We chose to work together and build 'Care to Move' (C2M) because we recognised in each other, a shared quality. We both really care.

We genuinely want the residents to get something out of the programme. We want to see them progress and develop and to enjoy themselves in the process.

Here is a little bit about us as individuals:

Christian Raftery

Playing sports from a young age showed me how following a consistent exercise and a good nutrition plan makes you feel great and improves performance. At college i studied a BTEC Diploma in Sport, this qualification provided me with more in depth understanding of specific areas within the sport industry. As well as enabling me to pursue a career in the fitness industry. I have a huge passion and enthusiasm for fitness that I like to share with all of my clients.

I work with clients of all fitness levels, abilities and ages to help improve their health and fitness. During my time working as a Personal Trainer & Fitness Coach I have helped clients to run 10ks, half marathons and even full marathons. My main strengths are helping those to lose weight and to improve their sporting performance as well as offering nutritional advice.

I passionately believe in working with clients to make lifestyle changes and showing ways that you can live a more active, healthy and happy lifestyle.
Apart from the Personal Training side I've spent alot of time working in care homes delivering chair-based exercise to frailer older people and disabled adults.
I am based in West Yorkshire and work throughout Bradford, Halifax and Huddersfield. Outside of work, my hobbies and interests include Cycling, Swimming, Rugby and Reading.

Michele Kinder

I've been into fitness my whole life, starting training in our school gym at just 13 years old. 

I've enjoyed achievements such as training for many years in Shotokan Karate (up to first Dan black belt level,) walking the Inca Trail in Peru, taking on challenging peaks in Asia and taking part in many team events such as charity bike rides, hiking and running.

Fitness is a passion of mine but I strongly believe that you can start the journey at any age and any level of fitness. There are so many variations of exercise and so many options available to us. We need to nurture our bodies as we get older, make our bones strong, keep our blood pressure down and keep ourselves fit and mobile, especially when we reach our latter years. 
I specialise in training older people and adapting exercise programmes accordingly. The great relationships built during the process are a very rewarding bonus.
